Mathew Abraham Hospital CEO announced building of New Cancer Center
Mathew Abraham Antelope Valley Hospital’s CEO announced the construction of a three story 80,000 sq. ft building. The new building would be built on the southern part of the campus and house physician offices, a full service center and a comprehensive out-patient imaging center. Mathew Abraham, hospital CEO also said that the Cancer Center would include oncological physicians and surgical specialists from the world-renowned City of Hope Medical Center. These specialized physicians would work with the Valley Tumor Medical Group Physicians who would operate the radiation center also located in the same building on the hospital campus.
It was also announced by Mathew Abraham Antelope Valley Hospital’s CEO that the Imaging Center will be a joint venture between the health system and Renaissance Imaging of Los Angeles, headed by Andrew Deutsch, M.D. With 12 board certified radiologists in Dr. Deutsch’s group, the team will provide in-patient and out-patient services at the hospital.
Mathew Abraham has served in CEO capacities for over 20 years in various health care organizations ranging from Hospitals, Integrated Delivery Systems, Multispecialty Medical Group, Management Service Organization (MSO), Physician Hospital Organization (PHO), Ambulatory Surgery Centers and Independent Physician Associations (IPA). Additionally, Mathew Abraham has served on the boards of various community and civic organizations as well as holds membership in professional associations. Some of these professional organizations like American College of Healthcare Executives where he is a Fellow, he is also a member of Medical Group Management Association, and American Academy of Medical Administrators.
